About Us

The Pukerua Bay Soccer Club is a junior football club based in the small sea-side suburb of Pukerua Bay at the northern most end of Porirua City, Wellington. Our primary objective is to provide children from all backgrounds and ability with the opportunity to participate and fall in love with the game of football.

The club caters for all children aged 4 to 14 from Pukerua Bay and surrounding suburbs such as Plimmerton, Cambourne, Mana, Whitby, Aotea, and Papakowhai. 

Pukerua Bay Soccer Club is a small community oriented club (approximately 90 registered members) with passionate children, and strong whanau and community support. This creates an environment which encourages children who are new to the game, or where their main priority is to have fun and enjoy the game of football, to play football. While this is the main priority of children playing at Pukerua Bay, we also encourage those players and teams who are willing to be more competitive.

We have had teams competing in the Wellington Graded Champs and in Douglas Villa tournament in Masterton, and have players attending Ole Football Academy, players obtaining scholarships to Ole Football Academy. However, on a whole all teams have been improving steadily over the past few years with many teams performing well in the local leagues. Boys and gilrs play together in the mixed grades but we have also entered tesms in the Girls-Only Summer or Sunday Leagues (numbers permitting). Summer training has also been run for those wanting further development. 

Most of the Pukerua Bay teams play in the Wellington/Western zone our younger teams (7th and 8th grade) playing in the Kapiti Coast competition (Paekakariki, Paraparaumu, Waikane, Otaki).

Pukerua Bay club is also part of Waikanae AFC’s Kotahitanga Waikanae Talent Development Programme for 13th to 15th grade players, along with all the other clubs on the Kapiti coast.
